As News Editor, I have edited many stories for The Voice. This year especially, I have grown close to my fellow editors and editors-in-chief. I taught new staffers the foundations of news writing. I also aimed to provide a comfortable environment for our reporters and new staffers.
Sometimes, however, news stories don’t go as planned. There can be delays or a gap in the story. When in this situation, I have to communicate through edits or Slack and give advice on how to make the story interesting, engaging ad fresh.
